In case the W-2 forms or the 1099 forms in your mailbox didn’t clue you in already, tax season is upon us.

Yes my dears,it’s here and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it but grudgingly walk to your accountant and pay the tax man what’s due to him.

I know most people hate paying taxes and are generally stressed around tax time,
I used to be one of those people until I started putting a positive spin to this time of the year.
Now when my accountant tells me I owe an absurd figure,instead of sulking,I just say – thank you for that absurb figure because it means last year I had work.
Because of that work,I was able to pay my bills and do this and that and the other.
I have found that thinking that way (positively) makes tax time a lot less stressful for me.

Want to know what else would make this time of the year a tad less stressful for you?

I was stalking someone’s profile on Facebook – yeah,I’m not the only one who does that! – and I saw this really cool picture of Bill’s Rules.

The “Bill” in question is Bill Gates and I don’t know if he actually sat down and wrote all these rules but I suspect some genius with too much time got a whole bunch of quotes from Bill Gates and created this really cool list.
OR maybe the person just made all that stuff up and attached Bill’s name and face to it.

I don’t know.I’m just speculating.
It is very interesting to read though so take a second out of your day to go over it.

Valentine’s Day Has Been Cancelled….

Contrary to what you may have heard,Valentine’s Day has been cancelled this year.

So, sorry everyone but Valentine’s Day has been cancelled.
At least mathematically.

If you’re like me and you sucked at maths in school anyway, then you don’t believe any of that crap I just wrote above and you’re going to have an awesome day today – valentine or no valentine.

I’m personally really excited to see what my little dude brings me home from school.
Every single year since he started school he’s been bringing me a hand-made card and some candy and I’m not ashamed to admit that his card is the highlight of my day, every single year.

I hope you and yours – or you by yourself, have an amazing day today.
Go out and hug someone, reconnect with an old friend, go visit someone in your neighborhood or in the hospital who doesn’t have family to take care of them or simply smile at someone today.

Is it so wrong that when I first saw this sweep from Seacrest, the first words to pop in my head were:
I want to get away,I want to fly away…yea,yea,yeah
If you don’t know what song that is,well, shame on you.
It’s the classic “Fly Away” by Lenny Kravitz.
Okay,I made the “classic” part up but it’s still a pretty darn good song that you should you tube sometime.

Wanna know what else is pretty darn good?
That would be the fact that Ryan Seacrest wants to fly you and a friend to the 54th Grammy Awards.
Okay,Ryan won’t be flying you himself.He can afford it and stuff but he is not personally sending you,his sponsors are.They’ll give you roundtrip airfare to LA, tickets to the show and even put you up in a hotel.
You get to see people like Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Nikki Minaj perform.
Oh and if you win and see Bruno Mars,please ask him for me if he’d really catch a grenade for a girl he truly likes because if he seriously would,I need to give him my digits ASAP!
